I have the feeling that this entry's gonna be cheesy, forgive me, おねがいします! =D

So yesterday really is the last day of Japanese this semester. I am actually quite sad, time passes so fast, and I still wanna see everyone in 2pm section in front of CAB432, last-minute preparing for quizzes or tests, practicing skits or just simply complaining... ^.^

Taking JAPN101 at 2pm is one of the best things for me this semester. Being taught by Satoo-sensei, Kawai-sensei and getting to know 10 of you, I'll never forget that. Together we've experienced so much. Just like what Sensei said yesterday, 4 months ago we didn't know a single Japanese character. Now, we can create 5 or 10 minute skits on our own. And everyone did a great job on speech! (esp. fluency and natural speedo, lol)... We've learned much more than expected!

Final is 1 week and 4 hours from now, ganbatte kudasai! As Dreyer-san said in his email, let's party after that! JAPN is my last final and I'll definitely be there!!!

私はベトナムの南東で生まれましたから、今りゅう学生です。私はこうこうの時にベトナムにいて、一ばんたのしかったです。

私はベトナムの一ばん大きいまちでこうこうに行きました。私は四ねんかんぐらい一人でそこにいました。かぞくはそこにいませんでしたから、あの時はちょっとたいへんでした。でも、あのまちはとてもにぎやかでしたから、さびしくありませんでした。さびしいはええごで”lonely”です。私はあのまちとこうこうの時が大すきです。

こうこうのクラスには学生が四十人いて、やさし いともだちがたくさんいました。ベトナムのクラスで食べものと飲みものをもって行ってはいけませんでした。それから、テストとしゅくだいはむずかしかったです。私はまい日六時半ごろ学こうへ行って、たくさんべんきょうしました。それから、先生は私をてつだいましたが、とてもむずかったですから、ちょっとこ わかったです。がっこうはたくさんべんきょうしましたが、ひまな時によく出かけましたから、たのしかったです。みんなは学生でしたから、あまりたかいものはかいませんでした。でも、しゅうまつはカラオケをして、レストランに行きました。ベトナムの食べものはやすいですが、とてもおいしいです。それから、やすみには私はともだちとりょ行にも行って、よかったです。きれいなまちにたくさん行って、しゃしんを たくさんとりました。私は今時々あのしゃしんをみます。

Peer Evaluation

みなさん、らいしゅうはoral interviewとspeechですよね。Interviewはとてもこわいいですね！！！

I am SERIOUSLY worried about the interview, even more than a job interview I guess T_T The speech is not that bad though. I think it's somewhat similar to our skits. What's better is that we have more preparation and feedbacks from group's members and Sensei. リレーさん、リウさんとゴールードマンさん、feedbacks、ありがとう！！！

Although it's such a pain to read 日本ご (>_<), I really enjoyed this peer reading/editing activity. Normally, for our さくぶん, we only got feedback from Sensei and it's clear that we need to fix that place, this place... But when your partners comment on your speech, it's something like "I think you should do this, fix that, add this sentence... It should be better.." I personally don't jump in following their advices immediately but spend time thinking whether their ideas work or not... This process helps me a lot, for I have to consider many options... (Hopefully you guys get what I mean by this paragraph).

Also, by peer reading, I got to read others' speeches and know different styles of writing... Then, I know what is good or what others like about my speech...

あの。。。What makes a good blog? I came up with some ideas. Hope to know more from みなさん =)

It should be updated frequently. I know we started this because of クラス, but it's fun to do this and it's enjoyable for me to read everyone's entriesよ. People tend to stop visiting a blog if last time they didn't see any updates...

Write about your day, esp. about 日本ごのクラス. Don't be reluctant to share, 'cause I am sure everyone wanna know about new interesting things and share the same feelings for our クラス. I know our vocab is still limited, but we are knowing more and more! So try to use 日本ご as much as you can. Just add the 日本ごの　words that you know in a full-of-English-word sentence!

Don't you love to visit blogs that have しゃしん, youtubes or nice designs? Goldmanーさん asked me how to put youtube in blog. So here you go: First copy the Embed code you see in youtube video and paste it in the "insert link" thing (next to italic and bold). I really don't know how to explain in words, so lemme know if you don't get what I meant.

Spend a little time on your blogs! They are originally an assignment, but they are still our own blogs, which carry our personal ideas and opinions...

Fall はきますよね！

こんばんはみなさん！

I have no clue whether my title is correct/makes sense or not =D Hopefully you guys understand what I mean. Well, it has been chilly for the last 2 days. Of course it's nothing like winter, but still the weather changes so fast. Especially when I have to leave Hereford at 8.30 am for class everyday! T_T I wonder if someone else is like me, I love stepping on those crunchy leaves, the sound makes me happy, dunno why =D

How is today's test? Yeah, it's SO long and I ended up inviting the Japanese friend to watch ドラマ with all the details in 5 lines while spending the same amount for はじめまして。。。にほんじんですか。。。LOL. But anyway, the test is over, and we are facing another chapter! がんばってね！

A little bit about myself. Maybe you have noticed (キムさん already knew this), I LOVE ドラマ, and by that I mean the TV series. Not just にほんのドラマ but also かんこくのドラマand sometimes ちゅうごく. Forgive me for keep inviting people to watch ドラマ with me in drill sections =D But if you by any chance wanna share the LOVE with me, please lemme know,ね! <3

Also, above is a picture taken this summer during the reunion of my high school クラス. We decided to wear the uniform, which is also Vietnamese traditional dress, although it was extremely hot in Vietnam at that time.

Another Friday night. My time for ドラマ and music. No matter how busy I am, I guess I will never study at Friday night. Doing this somehow makes me feel lonely...

So now we know ひらがな and カタカナ, only Kanji's left. It's unnecessary to say again how hard カタカナ is. We learned ひらがな when we were like blank sheets of paper, no idea about にほんご. I think that's why after mastering ひらがな, it's so hard to move on to カタカナ. ( <= this part is weird T_T) But I believe what Satoo-せんせい said is true, also based on my language learning experience. We will get used to it in no time!

It has been 3 weeks since school started. Not much homesick. Not much time to reflect. Every single day is a busy day. Comm 201, Chinese 201, Japanese 101, Hiea 203 and Math 122 (this class is to make my GPA higher ^.^). I know this will be a busy semester, and I am ready to face it.

This drama is based on the real-life struggles of a 15-year-old girl named Aya who suffered from an incurable disease, but lived life to the fullest until her death at 25. The script is based on the diary Aya kept writing until she could no longer hold a pen. The book that later followed entitled "One Litre of Tears" has sold over 1.1 million copies in Japan alone. Aya Kito proved her courage and positive attitude towards an uncertain future when suffering such an illness, spinocerebellar ataxia. The drama spans a decade, during which she graduates from school while her conditions worsen.

The story begins as Aya prepares for the new semester. Despite being happy, she suffers from slight physical problems, which only her mother seems to notice. However, one day, she falls unconsciously on the floor.

After she is sent to the hospital, she is shortly diagnosed with the disease. Despite the fact that she is diagnosed with the terminal illness, she does not lose the will to survive.

She still makes friends with others, including her first love, Yuji. She later develops an interest in Haruto. Although somewhat cold, Haruto was still kind to her. Meanwhile, her health continues to deteriorate.

Knowing that she will not survive for long, she returns a gift to Haruto, who discovers the fact when he reads the love letter that Aya gave him.

In the last episode, she dies peacefully, and her parents mourn her.

Finally, it's Friday afternoon. Although I am still in Clemons working on Math HW at the moment, I was so happy when the girl at language lab told me it's Friday and they closed at 3. There are not that many people now in the toshokan.
